The Cult of Celebrity

One of my great loves, the awards season. Why?

Yes I admit it I am kind of obsessed with the idea of "celebrity" and "fame". I am truly enthralled by the idea of never ending wealth and everybody knowing your name. I'm a slave to the cult of celebrity and I've accepted that. I am doing more for Western culture then any cyniscistic humanitarian. I don't aspire to be wealthy, famous and well known. But I wish for the glamorous lifestyle.

Best Dressed;

A few critics even said Anna Kendrick belonged on the worst dress list. I disagree. She looks lovely, her shoes are fab.

AhMAZING and I want her hair.

Diane Kruger killed it in Chanel, but maybe a little too high-fashion for the Oscars.

Beautiful Meryl, but stockings? noooo

love the bodice on this one, nailed the screen siren look.

Elizabeth Banks looked lovely and the shade is so delicious on her skin.

Carey Mulligan and Maggie Gylenhall, Carey was my absolute favorite of the night. I adore her new bleached crop and look at the detail on her dress! Tiny knives forks and scissors, how gorgeous, she nailed the jewelry too.

Worst Dressed;

You're ment to be a fashion plate Nicole? This shape does nothing for me, completely unflattering.

It's not that it was hideous, I just don't like it at all. She almost blends in with the carpet and her make-up isn't that great either.

Those are some badly placed roses and her lipstick is weird for the dress color.
So dissapointing, Charlize usually looks fab.

Where does her skin end and her dress start? Bad color and only one bracelet Demi!

Don't worry it's not actually bubble wrap. Nuff said.

Would have looked better on a blonde, mainly just because I hate her. Smile for once you ugly millionaire!

This week's browsing,

Looking through collections at style.com and came across Balenciaga's Spring 2010 offering. Reminds me of a modern art museum and Ikea, the eye make up is great up close too, I'm loving bleached eyebrows. A-

 COMPLETELY INFATUATED WITH THESE SHOES. Reminds me of a Nicholas Kirkwood creation.

Which got me onto entering him into the style.com search bar.

The lookbook upon all lookbooks are judged. The Prada annual is a definite highlight of every fashion season and the one for SS10, with its dystopian travel vibe with an element of fantasy, does not dissappoint:

a. The photography in this lookbook is insane.
